πŸš“ July Police Update – Abbots Langley Community Newsletter

Dear Resident

As your local PCSO Supervisor, I manage the team of PCSOs working in our area.  As previously messaged, each month, I gather updates on what they have been doing.

πŸ” Highlights from July:

πŸš“ Increased Park Patrols

In response to anti-social behaviour regarding off road bikes in Leavesden Country Park, South Way and surrounding area.  We’ve increased evening patrols. Since implementing these patrols, we have seen a decrease in ASB.

  • PCSO Gomm continued to support Park run in Leavesden.
  • PCSO Gomm, PCSO Burt and PC Rance visited the shops and restaurants to help and support with any ASB and theft reports, they also visited Tanners Wood School fair and visited the new CafΓ© in Kings Langley.
  • I have conducted Speed checks in the following areas – Gallows Hill Lane, High Street, Toms Lane and Aerodrome Way. Letters and notices were sent to all drivers.
  • Cannabis warning letters sent to residents in the local area after receiving complaints from residents and working with Partner housing agencies with this issue.
  • PCSO Burt has been at the Library attending different group meetings.
  • PCSO Burt attended local churches and Henderson Hub, engaging with residents and offering advice.
  • PCSO Burt has been patrolling the Waterdale Recycling Centre due to reports of ASB in the evening.
  • PCSO Gomm continued to support Breakspear school around the safety of children crossing the roads and vehicles speeding.
  • I have continued to work with Parish and District councillors around the community and acting on their concerns and updating them on what we have been doing.
  • I Competed our Mini Police Programme with year 5 from Divine Saviour School.
  • I have continued to use the police cycle to conduct patrols around Bedmond area, while PCSOs Gomm and Burt have conducted foot patrols around Abbots Langley and Leavesden Wards.
